Hooked was an already successful seafood bar located in a refurbished garage in the centre of Truro but had inherited a previous business name. The clients briefed us with a name change, rebrand and repositioning including their interiors and layout.
When designing the ‘Hooked’ interior, we wanted to give texture to what was predominantly a square box. The bold marriage of bright yellow and deep blue on the furniture gave an essence of coastal to the brand, along with texture through a brick wall and tiled floor. Tall tables were added by the windows with feature rope lighting for customers who wanted a quick tapas and drink.
The changes in seating heights also broke the space. A massive bespoke feature banquet seat made to replicate an old chesterfield sofa in bright yellow leather sat below a hand painted HOOKED logo and has become their hero shot in marketing.
The new name, brand and interiors really positioned Hooked and its proposition and quality in amongst the other F&B offerings in Truro.
