We are a considered interior and brand design studio, based between Cornwall and Oxford. We create thoughtful spaces and identities across residential, hospitality, and retail projects – designed to endure, to connect, and to leave a lasting impression.
For over thirty years, we have partnered with clients to shape homes, hotels, restaurants, workplaces, and brands that feel authentic to the people behind them.
Our work is rooted in the belief that great design is about more than aesthetics; it is about creating experiences, telling stories, and helping people connect with places in a meaningful way.
We don’t believe in a signature style. Every project begins with listening and understanding our clients, their ambitions, their audience, and what makes them unique. Whether we’re designing a family home, repositioning a hospitality brand, or creating a new destination from the ground up, our role is to uncover what matters most and translate it into something thoughtful, distinctive, and lasting.
Many of our clients have worked with us for years, even decades. We see this as one of our greatest achievements. Through interiors, branding, photography, marketing, and creative strategy, we become an extension of our clients’ teams, helping their businesses and spaces evolve while remaining true to who they are.
Inspired by the landscapes, communities, and creativity that surround us, our work spans Cornwall, Oxfordshire, across the UK and Europe. While every project is different, our approach remains the same: collaborative, considered, and driven by a genuine passion for creating beautiful things that people remember.

Founder & Creative Director
Helen Stephens
Helen founded Absolute in 1991 and has spent more than three decades building a studio known for thoughtful design, strong client relationships, and a collaborative approach. As Creative Director, she remains closely involved in projects across interiors, branding, and strategy, helping clients shape places and businesses that are both distinctive and enduring.
With a natural ability to see the bigger picture while remaining focused on the finer details, Helen continues to lead the studio with creativity, energy, and an unwavering passion for good design
Senior Interior Designer
Zella Packer
Zella has been an integral part of the Absolute team for almost ten years. With extensive experience across hospitality, commercial and residential projects, she brings a calm and considered approach to every stage of the design process.
From airports and large-scale developments to private homes and boutique hotels, Zella manages projects with creativity, organisation, and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring ideas are delivered successfully from concept through to completion.
Alongside her interior architecture and project management work, Zella plays a key role in photoshoot styling and art direction, helping bring brands, spaces, and hospitality experiences to life through carefully considered visual storytelling.

Interior Designer
Rosie Buttle
Rosie joined Absolute after graduating from Falmouth University with a degree in Interior Architecture & Design. Beginning as an intern, she has grown within the studio over the past five years and now plays a key role within the interiors team.
Working across a diverse range of projects, Rosie supports the design process from initial concepts through to final delivery. With a thoughtful eye for detail and a passion for creating beautifully resolved spaces, she brings creativity, care, and fresh perspective to every project she works on.
