Interior Trends From London to Cornwall for 2016

Metallic

At Absolute, we might be over 300 miles from the big smoke but that doesn’t mean we aren’t staying on trend. We’ve got a busy and exciting year ahead and it’s important for our interiors team to stay updated with new materials, methods and techniques in order for Absolute’s Designs to continue being as unique and cutting edge as the capital. We’re visiting some of the top London Trade shows including 100% Design, Clerkenwell, Sleep and of course Decorex to ensure that we’re seeing the latest products.

The Big, The Bright & The Beautiful

Whether it’s commercial or residential, it’s all about the pop of colours this year, within key pieces of upholstery, walls or even accessories. Specifically, Mustard, Teal and Salmon pinks are big this year. Not forgetting the Pantone colours of the year, Rose Quartz & Serenity. (Serenity being our go to colour for any coastal projects)! Have a sneak peak at our upcoming Coastal project in Bude via our social media channels.

Top Tip: Introducing colour into your home should be cleverly done through your key pieces that are easily changeable such as cushions, accessories to avoid costly alterations!

Be Bold

2015 was definitely the year for bold geometric patterns to make their grand entrance back into our interior schemes, and they are not going anywhere in 2016. The patterns are bolder & stronger than ever before.  “GO BOLD OR GO HOME”

Metallics

Bronze, muted gold, copper, zinc… whatever the metal it’s certainly making a beautiful appearance this year. Whether it’s in an industrial chic warehouse or even in the detail of furniture, it certainly is there, creating its own talking point.  Featured: Tom Dixon tableware, perfect for bringing the metal look into your home!
