St Moritz Hotel

The St Moritz Hotel is an art-deco inspired, airy, Miami-style family of buildings in one of the most idyllic locations overlooking the mouth of the River Camel and Steppa Point near Rock in Cornwall.

Absolute worked with the owners in every aspect of this £15m new build hotel from the Restaurant and Bar to the rooms, reception and spa.

With an exterior reminiscence of a classic ocean liner, alongside the collection of bedrooms and apartments, the St Moritz Hotel’s interior sports the globally renowned Cowshed spa, a large, airy restaurant, champagne bar and fully equipped leisure centre. With everything that weekenders or holiday makers could need, the St Moritz Hotel will undoubtedly set new standards of style, comfort, luxury and service within Cornwall.

By giving a subtle modern twist to the 1930s sophistication of the original, the Absolute team infused the 48 hotel rooms, 16 suites and 32 double rooms with a sense of elegant history combined with 21st century standards. Against the backdrop of airy Miami-style décor, complete with luxurious beds and magnificent balconies, smaller touches such as original 1950s novels and chess boards add playful quirkiness to the overall appeal. A place to relax, a place to invigorate, the St Moritz, as envisaged by Absolute, is a genuine jewel in the crown of the UK hotel industry.
