Absolute were instructed to refurbish this existing seafood restaurant in Truro, to rebrand and give the whole business a new personality.

The owners were inspired by the casual and leisurely way the Spanish dine and wanted to bring elements of this into the design and menu.

Hooked in the city is a loft style conversion of an old mechanics workshop. Our design reflected the architecture of the building. The exposed ceiling shows off hanging pendant lighting and wooden beams laced with brown rope, taking the feel of the restaurant from the city to the seaside, in true Hooked style. Absolute added subtle nods to the Spanish influenced Seafood menu in the interior through graphics and sculptures.

The walls are made up by a contrast of reclaimed wood and Spanish tiles. Exposed brickwork and chalk boards, giving the restaurant an urban, chic feel. The restaurant has a mixture of booths and long tables, surrounded by striking yellow and blue leather upholstery.

A Restaurant and Bar Design Awards nominated venue.
